As the University of Oxford prepares to welcome students from all over the world in October to start their new term, the OUEV venues are being put to good use to ensure that students receive the best possible experience.

Since March 2020, over 90% of students have continued their teaching virtually and have missed the classroom environment. We are fortunate to have some of the University’s largest spaces within our portfolio which makes them the perfect setting to host face-to-face lectures and examinations in a safe, compliant and physically-distanced way. In addition, our fantastic team are applying their skills and experience to provide a new booking service covering not only the OUEV venues, but all of the University’s shared teaching spaces.

Alongside this, we are delighted to commence a phased reopening of our venues for events from November 2020.  To ensure we can accommodate the needs of our students, our availability will focus on evenings and weekends, and will increase during University vacation periods

Our customers, partners and suppliers are what makes OUEV so special, bringing imagination, vision and talent to create incredible events in our venues and we look forward to welcoming you back soon.

Although we cannot host events for a short while longer, our team is available to help and would be delighted to hear from you.

Bookings

If you have a future event to discuss or would like to make an enquiry to find out more about one of our venue spaces, simply send us a note at venueenquiries@admin.ox.ac.uk and a member of our team will be pleased to help.

Browse our venue pages for inspiration and take a read of our dedicated COVID-19 pages for details on our safety measures.

Behind the scenes

We are proud to be involved in some fantastic projects to deliver the best possible event experience in our venues. COVID-19 has presented a wonderful opportunity to collaborate and innovate within the Oxfordshire events network which will enrich the event experience in the future and we are enjoying meeting new people, and working together as a team for the benefit of the county. A large focus in-house has been to develop our Six Step Commitment to Safe Events detailing the all-important safety measures we have introduced within our venues to give you peace of mind ready for your return and to continue to build upon our Green Tourism, Meetings Industry Association and Visit England accreditations.
