Star man visits the Sheldonian Theatre

On Wednesday 1 June the Sheldonian Theatre was packed to the rafters with space enthusiasts as Blackwell’s bookshop welcomed Buzz Aldrin, who was in Britain to promote his new book.

Buzz engaged the 900 strong audience for an hour with tales of his childhood, his determination to be an astronaut and his life changing trip to the moon before fielding questions from the many fans.  It was a nice surprise for all when he ended the evening with a Sheldonian Selfie with the cheering audience in the background before signing copies of his new book.
