Recorded by the Oxford Philharmonic Orchestra and introduced by Classic FM’s John Suchet, the concert features a world premiere from composer John Rutter performed by bass-baritone Sir Bryn Terfel. Already recorded, the concert is available for anyone to listen to this Friday 18 December on the Oxford Philharmonic Orchestra – YouTube.

Following our Six Step Commitment to Safe Events, our team worked meticulously to ensure the safe and successful hosting of this event. Dr. Marios Papadopoulos MBE, Founder and Music Director at the Oxford Philharmonic Orchestra commented;

“There is no greater feeling than being back in the concert hall, experiencing live music. We are hugely grateful to the team at the Sheldonian Theatre for ensuring the safety of the performers, film and production crew, and enabling the filming to go ahead. We truly look forward to welcoming our audience back into the venue in the future too.”

Now able to host performances for up to 288 guests, depending on seating configuration, we look forward to welcoming back more customers through our doors at the Sheldonian and across our other venues.
