Vickie Dimelow

Vickie joined OUEV in 2018 as Senior Events and Marketing Manager and was promoted to Head of OUEV in 2020.  Vickie has 20 years’ experience in universities, 14 of which have been spent specialising in venue management.  Vickie has overall strategic leadership responsibility for OUEV and really enjoys this diverse role and having such a fabulous team to work with!

What has been your favourite memory at OUEV?

“I have lots but a special one was the first in person event we hosted following the first Covid lockdown and feeling reassured that people still wanted, and needed, to have face to face events especially after all the work we did as a team to ensure our venues were safe and secure.”

What's your superpower at work?

"I’m very organised and quite speedy so typically have good productivity. The team are always telling me I write a good email too!"

What's a fun fact about yourself?

"I’ve had some ‘interesting’ jobs in my time including dressing up as a bear for children’s birthday parties, and being a fishmonger!"
