In October, OUEV was pleased to host a high-profile hybrid event at the Sheldonian Theatre with Professor Louise Richardson, Vice-Chancellor of Oxford University, and Secretary Hillary Rodham Clinton to mark Professor Brenda E Stevenson beginning her tenure as the first Hillary Rodham Clinton Chair of Women’s History.

The round table discussion was enjoyed in person and online as the event was live-streamed around the world, as a panel of five leading historians of women, gender, and sexuality addressed the complexities of ‘Women’s history: the future,’ set out their vision of what women’s history should be doing in the next thirty years.  After a lively and thought-provoking discussion, Secretary Clinton delivered a closing address.

Our team is very experienced in hosting high-profile events and work closely with teams around the University to ensure the event runs smoothly. The Sheldonian continues to be a fantastic venue for hybrid events, with ample seating for an in-person audience and excellent set up for hybrid technology.

You can watch the event online below.
