It’s been a busy few weeks for the Events team. Back in June we welcomed 120 guests from one of the medical departments of Oxford University for a themed Wimbledon party. The Pimms was in full flow and our Wimbledon themed street food menu was a smash hit with guests. Food stall areas were created offering ‘Venus and Serena’s sizzling Centre court double’ burrito’s and chilli taco’s, ‘Nadal’s Mediterranean Match point’ seafood and vegetable paella and ‘Murray’s British Bistro food’ which included pulled pork burgers and cheese and Portobello mushroom toasties with English chutneys. Fresh strawberries and cream as well as locally sourced ice-cream pots from Little Clarendon’s George & Davis’ café made a sweet end to a sweet day.
Early July we looked after a West Indian /English wedding for 270 people. A sumptuous buffet of meats, fish and mouth-watering salads were served all washed down with the essential ingredient; West Indian rum.
We were also pleased to host a drinks reception for the launch of ‘The Hill’ project – Oxford’s new digital healthcare ideas lab whose vision is to build the next generation of healthcare projects and businesses – entrepreneurs take note! More details can be found here.
