Claire Knowles

Claire has been with OUEV since 2015, in no less than four roles and is currently one of our Event Venues Operations Managers. Claire has seen the OUEV portfolio grow from one venue to four, and a range of services. Claire revels in the sound of attendee excitement, networking and learning, as well as seeing the team thrive in each of their roles.

What has been your favourite memory at OUEV?

“When I first joined the team, OUEV was not established with only the Examination Schools as a venue. Therefore seeing our portfolio grow in terms of both portfolio and staff has been brilliant!”

What's your superpower at work?

"A positive, can-do attitude! I owe this to experiencing a number of different events across the years of being in this role and hosting events across our venues, learning how to problem solve for any issue that may come up. I’m often told that my relaxed attitude enables the other person to have a sense of calm, which is lovely!"

What's a fun fact about yourself?

"I’m a qualified beauty therapist; worked in the industry for 4 years before finding my love of events and changing career!"

In the office, Claire is the first person to offer support to the team whether it’s helping with diary management, covering overtime or playing some old school classics to boost morale- she’s always there to help!” - Abi
